Thanks - Sears told me that the 'w' and 'v' were only inventory
control numbers serving only to help track inventory.

Sounds like the 'w' could have a good feature - but right now it is
quite more pricey. At least as far as I can determine.

Just to prevent confusion from any european readers; The W4100 (US
model) seems to be different in that respect from the W4000 (European
model) which doesn't have "MotionFlow".

Down in my part of the world takedn from the Sony website.

"V series is a 8 bit panel. – 256 shades of any color
W is a 10 bit panel – 1024 shades of any given color"

More noticable with photos. Was informed that Bluray does not even
transmit in 10bit

W uses 4 less watts in power

Other additions with the W
Picture Processing Technology BRAVIA Engine 2 / Live Color Creation
LCD Backlight Technology Sony CCFL / Wide Color Gamut (WCG-CCFL)
xvYCC (x.v.Color) compatible Yes
Photo TV HD Yes "

There is no person named Sears that you talked to. You just talked to some
guy who makes about $12 per hour giving you a line of BS.
