I have a Sony 65" 4K TV. The other night I was watching the Washington DC
fireworks show I recorded a week ago. At one point, there was a singer, with
backup singers performing. The backup singers were all wearing very vivid red
flowing tops. I can't describe them better than that. I noticed that the tops
looked almost like they were computer generated due to the color, shading and
motion. It was really strange. I'm just wondering if really bright red is a
color TV's have problem handling? I've had the TV over a year now and I think
the picture and colors are gorgeous, having watched probably thousands of hours
of shows and movies, including Blu-ray DVD's. (All right, maybe HUNDREDS and not
thousands, but I'm retired and it wouldn't surprise me...) Anyone know if
overwhelming reds can look funny on a set? Thanks.

Six year old 42 inch Samsung LED same problem. Certain reds (in a dark
scene) strobe out of sequence. I chalked it up to the price of doing
business.

There's probably a number of settings that would tone that done. Color
gamuts can be wild!
