I picked up a Westinghouse LTV-37W2HD LCD TV at a garage sale for free. It would not power on. I purchase a new power supply ($20) and installed it which solved that problem. However, I have it hooked up to an HDTV antenna and each time I turn it on it prompts me with Auto Scan Required. It forgets all the HDTV channels and I have to scan them all back in again each time I turn the TV off. I was thinking some battery must be dead that holds the channel memory but I looked around for something like a 'cmos' battery on a the various boards but didn't see anything. Thoughts?

There probably was a reason that it was available at the garage sale.

I would have suggested what you looked for, a CR2032 or similar Lithium
battery.

Does Westinghouse have a forum for that set?

Look for some non volatile memory chip somewhere. Could be an eeprom, an
sd card or something similar.

Thanks for everyone's response. I called a local TV tech who was nice enough to talk with me and he said I would have to replace the main board; which runs about $70 it appears.

You could try to re-flow the solder on certain connections.
