But then, I'm behind the times nowadays.

I just saw an ad for a device which plugs into a wall outlet and turns the two
plugs into six, and also has two USB plugs. Apparently, you can send a USB
signal through your household's electric wiring system?????

And if this is the case, can I put one where my TV plugs into (I would plug a
surge protector into the unit and the TV into the surge protector) and then run
a USB cable from this adapter and into my TV and since my iPad's lightning cable
also serves as a USB type cable and is plugged in behind my sofa, if I put
another adapter behind the sofa and plugged the lightning charger in, would I
then have a wired connection from my iPad to my TV?

This sound intriguing. Can I then send a signal from the iPad to the TV?

Curiouser and curiouser...

Thanks.

And if this is the case,
It is NOT the case.

Those plugs provide 5VDC for charging devices that charge from USB
ports.

Thanks Gene. I don't know what the hell I was thinking. Wishfully I guess. Makes
sense now that the obvious is pointed out to me. I need to quit surfing for
things I don't need.

Well, I have to take a break anyway. An hour ago, my new Sony 4K 65 inch TV was
delivered. I'm in seventh heaven! And now I must give my credit cards a rest!

OK, that works for me!

Good luck with the new TV, even without chocolate!

Damn you Gene Bloch! I'm an avowed chocoholic and I just had to Google See's
chocolates after I read your post. Looks like my credit card isn't in complete
hibernation yet! :-)

I recently saw (somewhere, maybe the Sunday paper food sector a month or
so ago) a review of high-class chocolates, mostly available online and
mostly pretty expensive. Way more than See's.

They mentioned See's with a tepid ho-hum...But See's has a couple of
local stores within range of my normal orbit, and I find it hard to walk
past one at a mall without stopping in :-)

Anyway, *this* reviewer likes See's candy very much, thank you.

EXCELLENT! I'll get one once I feel there's enough content available.
What are you able to watch in native 4k?

What are you able to watch in native 4k
I have the Sony 4K media player which came as a $700 freebie with the set.
Apparently some promotion Sony is doing. They have a selection of 4K. But just
watching regular HD TV from cable is an experience. I upgraded from a Sony
Bravia 52 inch which had a very nice picture and I can see the difference. And I
tried out the 3D tonight with a 3D IMAX DVD I have and was very pleased. But
what blew me away evenmore was that the set can simulate 3D from a 2D broadcast
and it actually works. So, a little over a day into owning this set, I am very
happy with it.

Newer Technology Power2U AC Wall Outlet with USB Charging Ports

While there are some devices to send transmissions over 110 V AC lines, I
have not heard about it for quite some time.

What you saw is just for charging.

X10 used 110vac to transmit signals.
Neighbor installed outlet in barn, but it would not work!
It turned out barn was on a separate transformer;-)

Hi,

Actually I am using X10 all the time, remembered later.

What I do not understand is why one (1) florescent (Black Light) turns on by
it self and never turns off by it self.

Changing unit codes made no difference as well as changing appliance
modules.

It goes away after a period of my turning it off when not wanted.

It seems to occur now only when I think that a different person is in the
unit next to the long AC cord to the light.

I have about ten (10) X10 modules and none of the rest ever turn on (Or off)
by it self so I have ruled out changing the house codes.

Over time I may have trained the person next door to not turn the device on
using a remote which sends out a signal and instead turn on the device with
a button on the device itself.

Coffee maker, Cable box, ?????

If you think that your thought processes are affecting the black light, may
