I have roof mounted antennas for 2 antenna distributions in my house.
The 6-way splitter inserts 9db loss so I added a 10db antenna Amp commonly
found in the TV sections of hardware/home electronic stores.
Needless to say, they are losing more than they gain, so I opened them up (2
different models)
I find power supply components (transformer, diodes, electrolytics) and lots
of coils,. disc caps and even a few ferrite transformers.
I don't see ONE transistor or IC
How do these AMPLIFY? My 1960's Electronics skills are leaving me clueless on
how this is supposed to work.
Any ideas?
